Volunteering can be a great way to gain new skills, meet new people and give something back to your local community so whether you want to volunteer regularly, on an occasional or one-off basis or as part of a group of employees/friends, here’s more about what we have to offer, the experience you could gain and the support you would be offered.
WomenCentre has a range of volunteer opportunities; such as supporting people who drop in to the centre to find out more about our services, awareness-raising, supporting activities such as well-being groups and activities, helping with fundraising, supporting people who have been impacted by domestic abuse, counselling and one-off events volunteering. We are committed to offering quality volunteering experiences that enable you to use your existing skills and develop new ones too.

What’s in it for you ?
We will give you ongoing support in your role, you will have a named person to go to and you will become part of the WomenCentre family where you will have opportunities to attend staff and volunteer away days, celebrate volunteers week, be invited to unique WomenCentre events throughout the year and have access to training opportunities as they arise.

I have liked having the support calls from WomenCentre volunteers during this current situation, it has really helped having someone to talk to when you don’t have any social contact.
