1125 Girls & Young Women Project

1125 is a National Lottery funded project for girls and young women between the ages of 11 and 25. We work across both Calderdale and Kirklees and our aim is to work alongside girls and young women in our communities to support and empower them to reach their full potential. We previously had a service called Project 1325. Our learning from this service was that some girls would benefit from support at an earlier age as transition from primary to high school can often be a difficult time. We can now extend support to younger girls in our communities going through this transition.

1125 offers both emotional and practical support around a wide range of issues, provided in a safe space. We offer 1:1 support in a variety of settings and group work to enable girls and young women to talk about the things that matter to them, make sense of things that may have happened to them and to be supported to be the girl and young woman they aspire to be. We will work to raise self-esteem and confidence along the way.   We welcome and encourage those supported by us to be involved in the development and delivery of services.

Please note, in relation to referrals for 1-1 support from Project 1125. Our waiting list is currently closed.
