WomenCentre is runner up in Glaxo Smith Kline National Awards 2022

GSK 2022 Impact Awards in partnership with The King’s Fund – WomenCentre was shortlisted for a GSK IMPACT Award and were one of the ten runners up receiving £4,000. Additional support has also been offered to the runners in relation to staff training and volunteer recruitment. We are looking forward to benefiting from the training and support offered as part of the awards.

We were privileged to be one of the 10 runners up and congratulate the 10 winners and 9 other runners up. To be shortlisted out of over 400 entries nationwide was really humbling. Our CEO, Angela and Maxine attended the award ceremony at the Kings Fund in London. A moving evening celebrating the work of the third sector. With plenty of networking opportunities it was great to see so many other women’s organisations represented, and we made some contacts that will be useful in the future. It was an honour to be in a room with so many people doing amazing work in the charitable communities.

The GSK IMPACT Awards provide funding, training and development for charities doing excellent work to improve people’s health and wellbeing. The awards are funded by GSK and managed in partnership with The King’s Fund. They are open to registered charities that are at least three years old, working in a health-related field in the UK, with a total annual income of between £120,000 and £3 million.
