International Womens Day 2025
International Womens Day 2025 took place on Saturday 8th March. There were so many events organised in support of WomenCentre!
Here’s a round up…
The day kicked off with a Wild Swim fundraiser at Gaddings Dam. The event was organised by Nicola and Wild Swimming Calderdale. Women could attend for free but were asked to give a donation to WomenCentre.
Then over at Calderdale WomenCentre we had a coffee morning to get together, celebrate, and enjoy some cake! The women that attended created these beautiful gratitude flowers that are now proudly displayed in our reception area.
Then in the evening over at Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield, an all female show ‘Raising Our Voices’ raised funds for WomenCentre through their ticket sales.
And finally, SisterHudd led an all female line up at this amazing music gig at Northern Quarter in Huddersfield. They held a raffle in aid of WomenCentre at the event.
All in all it was an amazing day.
