WomenCentre 40th Anniversary – Thursday 6th February 2025

On Thursday 6th February 2025, WomenCentre celebrated our 40th anniversary in style!

We started the day by heading over to the Piece Hall in Halifax with our umbrellas! Lots of women joined us, and there were approx 50 women (exceeding the 40 we had hoped for!) there to celebrate and raise their umbrellas to spell out the number 40! The sun was out, and a photographer from the Piece Hall and a drone operator helped us to capture some fantastic images.

Thank you so much to everyone involved and to Halifax Piece Hall for hosting us.

Then in the afternoon we headed over to St Georges Square in Huddersfield to celebrate and raise awareness by bringing together 40 women to sing – 40 voices for 40 years! 

Once again, the sun was out and the atmosphere was brilliant. Thank you to everyone that attended.
